A new app which helps you to watch Sky mobile television

The Analog television has gone away but there is saying: out with the old and in with the new.

That is why SkyTV is going to launch the free Sky Go Application for IOS that allows you watch Sky mobile. The Android application will come soon.

Using this app you can watch ten streaming channels on smartphones and tablets as well as it replaces iSky service for Macs.

Sky subscribers will not only get the ability to watch Sky sports mobile via 10 streaming channels, but they will also get access to Sky’s EPG. All users will be allowed to schedule recording on MySky.

This new service will not only let you watch Sky sports on your mobile devices but you will also have a chance to share the content via Internet. There is also a function of controlling and managing access to content.

The channel availability will depend of subscribers’ existing bundle. The available channels will include a purely sports line up including SKY Sport 1,2,3,4 and the SKY Movies, E!,the Cartoon Network, BBC World News​, UKTV and National Geographic, Racing Post.

The company gives a hint that they will add more content.

The SKY GO app preview was shown on an iPad. It has large fonts and minimum clutter, all resulting in an understandable interface appearing to make very good use of its touch interface. Sky sports new mobile app can intuitively deliver the functionality of Mysky.

You get normal features you may use on a set-top-box. There is Return to Last Viewed Channel, a Grid. You may also perform search for content while watching.

The rationale for starting Sky Go is quite compelling. SkyTV informs that more than 70% of the subscribers use smartphones or tablet PCs.  The Sky Go app works over Wifi and mobile networks, so this should be an effortless experience.
